Is it the right knife?
The Riku chef knife. One knife for almost everything.
An 8" VG10 Damascus blade with 67 layers of stainless steel, hand-finished to a mirror polish, on an ergonomic G-10 handle. The all-rounder for chopping, slicing and dicing.
- 8" (200mm) blade for meat, fish and veg
- VG10 Japanese steel, 67-layer Damascus
- Ergonomic G-10 handle, nitrogen-cooled blade
Best for
Choose the chef knife if you want one knife for most jobs. The long, curved edge rocks through herbs and onions and slices meat and fish cleanly.
Is it the right knife?
The Riku santoku. Slice, dice and mince.
A 7" VG10 Damascus blade with 67 layers of stainless steel, hand-finished to a mirror polish, on an ergonomic G-10 handle. The Japanese all-rounder, shorter and flatter than a chef knife.
- 7" (168mm) all-round blade for meat, fish and veg
- VG10 Japanese steel, 67-layer Damascus
- Ergonomic G-10 handle, nitrogen-cooled blade
Best for
Choose the santoku if you want a lighter, more compact all-rounder. Its flatter edge suits straight up-and-down cuts, and it feels nimble in smaller hands and kitchens.
Is it the right knife?
The Riku boning knife. Close to the bone.
A 6" VG10 Damascus blade with 67 layers of stainless steel, hand-finished to a mirror polish, on an ergonomic G-10 handle. Narrow and precise, for working around joints and bones.
- 6" (150mm) narrow blade for meat and fish prep
- VG10 Japanese steel, 67-layer Damascus
- Ergonomic G-10 handle, nitrogen-cooled blade
Best for
Choose the boning knife if you joint chicken, trim meat or fillet fish. The narrow 17mm blade follows the bone closely, so less goes to waste. Not for cutting through bone itself.
Is it the right knife?
The Riku utility knife. The in-between job knife.
A 5" VG10 Damascus blade with 67 layers of stainless steel, hand-finished to a mirror polish, on an ergonomic G-10 handle. Bigger than a paring knife, nimbler than a chef knife.
- 5" (123mm) blade for sandwiches, cheese and herbs
- VG10 Japanese steel, 67-layer Damascus
- Ergonomic G-10 handle, nitrogen-cooled blade
Best for
Choose the utility knife for the everyday jobs in between, like slicing sandwiches, cheese, shallots and herbs, when a chef knife feels like too much.
Is it the right knife?
The Riku paring knife. Small knife, fine work.
A 3.5" VG10 Damascus blade with 67 layers of stainless steel, hand-finished to a mirror polish, on an ergonomic G-10 handle. The small knife you reach for when a big one is too much.
- 3.5" (88mm) blade for peeling and fine detail
- VG10 Japanese steel, 67-layer Damascus
- Ergonomic G-10 handle, nitrogen-cooled blade
Best for
Choose the paring knife for peeling, trimming, hulling and garnishing, the detail jobs a bigger knife is too clumsy for. A natural partner to a chef knife or santoku.
